Curriculum intent

The performing Arts are fundamental to the growth and development of all our students, teaching them interpersonal and transferable life long skills that allow them to EXCEL in the modern world as global citizens.

Our curriculum is meticulously designed to be accessible to all, encouraging students to ENJOY the diversity of topics explored whilst challenging and stretching their creativity.

Within the Performing Arts lessons, students ENDEAVOUR to develop their knowledge of all the three disciplines through practical and theoretical exploration as well as understand the impact all three have on the world around them.

Our curriculum is designed to support students' literacy skills by reading plays from different genres and time periods and to develop their creative thinking as well as performance skills and confidence.

Extra curricular provision is an essential part of the faculty and students are encouraged to join in whole school productions either as a technician or performer and a range of clubs are offered to get our community enjoying the Performing Arts.
