Chris Dring
From 2001 – 2006 my 2 daughters attended what was then CHSG and the combined sixth form. I was asked to become a governor at this school by my manager, who had contacts with the chair of the Education Committee at WSCC.
I worked in local government for 27 years and have a lot of experience around personnel issues as well as a general understanding of the context of education in the state sector.
I have been a governor for 10 years and have taken an active role in staff recruitment, student and teacher hearings and generally supporting the school where I can. In 2016/17 and 2017/18 I was vice chair, and chair of the pay review committee. Both roles have continued this year.
I enjoy photography, wildlife, football (watching), and keeping fit. I am thrilled to be associated with this exciting school, which will without a doubt become the secondary school of choice in Chichester
