CHS ART and DESIGN Curriculum Intent

The Art and Design curriculum at Chichester High School intends to develop and nurture students’ creative and expressive literacy. The emphasis is placed upon enabling students to explore their own ideas and interpretations linked to cultural and artistic influences, whilst developing and honing specific practical skills. 

We strive to shape a group of learners who have the confidence to EXCEL within a particular field of their choosing, whilst demonstrating the confidence and ENDEAVOUR to explore in a variety of media, processes and techniques along the way. ENJOYment and inclusivity is at the heart of what we deliver on a day to day basis, and the ability to allow students the freedom to develop their work independently is key to our belief.
