Welcome back....
Dear parents/ carers,
We have welcomed back Years 7 and 12 today, and are very much looking forward to seeing all of the children back into school tomorrow.
A few notices/ reminders:
-
Please make sure that your children are in full school uniform. The details of our requirements can be found here: https://www.chs-tkat.org/308/uniform.
In particular, please make sure that your child is wearing shoes, and is only wearing one pair of small plain stud earrings worn in pierced earlobes.
This will avoid staff having to have conversations first thing tomorrow. -
Please also note the change to the school day, which we notified you about last term, as a result of DfE requirements to lengthen the school day. This means that students need to be in registration at 0850.

Due to construction work which is ongoing at the Planetarium, we have closed the student gate on the A27. This is because lorries are accessing the site and it is a risk to allow the children to come in through that entrance. This only affects a small number of students but they will need to walk around and access the site through the main entrance. I apologise for any inconvenience.

Finally, the school is not one of the schools identified as having problems with Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). If anything changes, we will let you know immediately.
I hope everyone has had a good holiday, and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone back in school tomorrow.
