CHS Community Spirit
Students at Chichester High School spent Friday afternoon going out and about in the community.
Every year the students like to give back to the local community. Once again, they decided to thank as much of the community of Chichester as they could.
Visits to Chichester Fire and Rescue, Sussex Police, South East Coast Ambulance, St Richards A&E department, homeless charity, StonePillow, Chichester Food Bank and
St Wilfrid’s Hospice, were treated to various gifts of food, drinks, toiletries.
Coordinating teacher, Martyn Tilling added, “The faces of the people we went to informed us that we had made a difference. It was a real privilege to be able to go out and give the donations on behalf of the students and acknowledge the work that goes on all year round by charities and the emergency services.”
Head of School at CHS, Mr Brown said, “Our students are very passionate about the local community that serves them and wanted to do something to spread some Christmas joy”.
The money that bought all the gifts came from a non-school uniform day and fund raising activities.
Happy Christmas from CHS!
