Joint Training Day
Our Joint Training Day with five other West Sussex schools was a fantastic success on Friday 8th February. At Chichester High School, we welcomed colleagues from the Art, Business Studies and Geography departments to focus on Teaching and Learning.
These specific INSET days allow teachers some quality time in subject areas to really focus on Teaching and Learning. Staff were able to focus on key priorities, and share ideas and excellence within their subject areas.
Many of our own talented teachers led or contributed to the sessions that were taking place at Felpham, The Bourne, Bishop Luffa, OSVA, The Regis and here at Chichester High School.
In addition, as part of the day, the Librarians for each school met in our LRC (Learning Resource Centre) for a productive and collaborative planning session.
The day encourages our teachers (and support staff) from the local area to talk about what makes good pedagogical practice, it also encourages the building of a shared vision of successful teaching and effective learning.
We are so lucky to have such talented and energetic teachers here in West Sussex that really care about developing their practice and ensuring better outcomes for all our pupils.
It was a very exciting and rewarding collaborative day.
