Belgium Battlefields trip - March 2018

Year 9 Students who have opted for History in Year 10, today attended an assembly, about a fantastic opportunity to attend a trip to the Belgium Battlefields, March 2018.

As part of their GCSE course, the students have to learn about ‘The British sector of the Western Front, 1914–18: surgery and treatment.’ 

The History department will be running a trip to the Ypres battlefields in Belgium, where students can experience the environment they are learning about. 

We feel that this is a crucial experience, which enhances their learning and understanding of the challenges faced by medics on the Western Front. 

The trip will run from Thursday 1^st March until Friday 2^nd March 2018. 

The cost will be £190, which includes, travel, accommodation, food, entrance fees and insurance.  They have been sent home with a letter today.
