CHS Remembrance

Students in Year 7 and student members of the School’s Combined Cadet Force joined in silence to remember our fallen heroes.

Mrs McKeown led the service with a poignant speech about the importance of Remembrance.

This was followed by CHS student Lucy Turner reading ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John McCrae and Charlie Totman reading ‘We Shall Keep The Faith’ by Moira Michael.

The names of our fallen Chichester High School students, featured on our school memorial plaque, were read out by students Millie Tranchant, Alfie Isaac and Daisy Hill, highlighting those former students who had made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.

The story of former student Ellen May Grainger – ‘One of our Own’ was read by Megan Turner, Eva Williams and Logan Keenoy.

The School Combined Cadet Force banner party led the way as CCF cadet Mason Christie laid a wreath, on behalf of the School, in the school hall.

At 11am, Mrs McKeown, CCF cadets Mason Christie and Alex Keay laid a wreath at the outside memorial area we have at CHS.
