Year 6 Induction Evening

We look forward to welcoming our new parents to our induction evening.

This will provide an opportunity for you to meet the staff who will support your son/daughter during their time at Chichester High School.

Please note, seating will be limited to two Parents/carers per family due to high numbers for our new intake.

Tutors will meet your children on Wednesday on Year 6 induction day.

On arrival our Transition Buddies will escort you from 5.10pm to either the venue for the talks in the Lancastrian Hall or to meet your child’s new tutor.

The schedule for each band is as follows:-

A BAND – Tutor Groups: 7ARo, 7BRe, 7CHa, 7DMk, 7ERo
Meeting with staff at 5:30pm
Talks at 6:15pm


F BAND – Tutor Groups: 7FRo, 7GRe, 7HHa, 7JRe, 7JMk
Talks at 5:30pm
Meeting with staff at 6:15pm

Joanne McKeown, Headteacher – Welcome
Current Year 7 students’ transition experience
Clare Skinner – Transition and long-term pastoral support
Julie Silcock – Vice Principal, KS3
Mel Childs -SENCO


Meeting Staff:
Tutors, Heads of House, House Champions, Pastoral Support Manager, SENCO, SLT and Chair of Governors


House/House Colours/Tie Colours

To determine which house your child is in, go to the F or A band above and you will see the tutor groups in that band, each tutor group has a suffix, i.e. Ro, Re, Ha, Mk which confirms the house:-

Rowling (Ro) – house colour GREEN
Redgrave (Re) – house colour RED
Hawking (Ha) – house colour YELLOW
Malala/King (Mk) – house colour BLUE

You will be told on 1st July which tutor group your child is in.

your children on Wednesday 3rd July.
