Chichester Library visit

A group of our student librarians from Years 7-9 visited the main library in Chichester today to consult with Jody Cork, Community Librarian.

The students were asked for and readily gave their opinions on the current provision and ideas for what might prevent or encourage young people from using the library.

It was really encouraging to see students talk so enthusiastically about reading and express themselves and their opinions so confidently.

Suffice to say, all learned that the library offers a lot - free of charge- that students can take advantage of, including free Wi-Fi and access to most magazine and newspaper subscriptions.

As a physical library card is no longer vital (a barcode can be saved in an app or wallet on most smart phones) so any students wishing to access the library and its resources can see Miss Hanson in school who can provide you with the relevant forms and collect them back in once they are completed.
