CHS visit Chichester Festival Theatre to see Running Wil
Twenty-two pupils from Year 7 went to see the play Running Wild, based on Michael Morpurgo’s book, at Chichester Festival Theatre at the end of term.
The trip was a reward for pupils who had made a particular effort with their reading during the autumn term.
Two pupils were chosen from each English class in year 7. The play was a heart-warming and tragic story told using life size animal puppets, about a child who is carried to safety on an elephant when the tsunami hit Indonesia in 2004.
Our students were enthralled by the clever storytelling and lively action.
Some of our CHS students who attend the Chichester Festival Youth Theatre had been part of the original production directed by Dale Rooks at the Cass Sculpture Park in Goodwood during the summer of 2015.
