Head of House
I have been a teacher of Physical Education since 2015. I studied Secondary Physical Education and Teaching (QTS) BA Hons at The University of Chichester.
Chichester High School has been the only school I have taught at within my teaching career. During my time at Chichester High School, I have gained roles such as KS3 Leader within Physical Education and House Champion of Redgrave.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher and have a positive impact upon young people’s lives. I have been very determined in my role as a House Champion of Redgrave to give pupils the support they need on a day to day basis as they make their learning journey through the school. Since joining the school, I have been a proud tutor seeing my Year 11’s all the way through from Year 7; guiding them through the difficult challenges they face along the way, and making sure they achieve their full potential.
My other passion lies within sport and physical education, Football and Table Tennis are my favourite sports! There is such a wide variety of extra-curricular opportunities for all and I always encourage all students to participate in as many activities as possible and to enjoy these experiences as they make their way through Chichester High School.
I am very excited to see what the next year brings for the House and I will be there supporting you all on your journey!
Our Redgrave House Champion is Miss Thomas
I feel very privileged to be the House Champion of Redgrave. I am an English and PE teacher here at CHS, and graduated from Loughborough University in 2019 after completing my PGCE and MSc. Since I have joined CHS, I have been a year 7 tutor, where my passion for pursuing a pastoral role was ignited.
Although my degree and PGCE were focused around sport and PE, I have been lucky enough to pursue another passion of mine within the teaching field - English. I was inspired by my GCSE teacher, and continued to study this at A-Level. Being able to teach both subjects, along with being a House Champion, is something that I am very proud of, and am excited to be working with all students and staff in Redgrave House.
