Head of House
My teaching journey started in 1999.
I studied Sports Science BSc (Hons) at the University of Portsmouth in 1996 and then completed my PGCE in PE at the University of Southampton in 1999.
I went on to teach in Bracknell for two years, travelled the world for a year and then taught at Toynbee school in Chandlers Ford until 2005.
I started teaching at Chichester High School for Boys in September 2005 as a teacher of PE.
I was promoted to Head of Year 7 and Transition from 2008 onwards. In 2013 I became the SENCO, Child Protection Officer and Pastoral Manager until the schools merged in 2016.
I am extremely proud to be Head of Malala-King and joint Safe Guarding Lead.
Malala-King stands for equality and courage. I am constantly astounded by the commitment and dedication of students and staff at Chichester High School, it is a wonderful community to be part of.
I am extremely passionate about pastoral care. My number one priority is making sure that students are happy and safe at school. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Our Malala/King House Champion is Miss Sharp
For me, teaching is something that I have always wanted to do, and I feel very privileged to continue my journey this year as house champion for Malala-King, as well as teaching Spanish and French at CHS.
I graduated from the University of Southampton in 2018, with a BA (Hons) in French and Spanish with Linguistic studies and completed my teacher training here at Chichester High School in 2019, where I have stayed ever since.
As house champion, my role is to assist Mr Carroll with supporting the students in Malala-King house, and to encourage pupils to foster the house values of equality and courage.
I look forward to being a part of the Malala-King team and working with you all next year!
