20 week revision plans
Make learning a habit and be a success…
20 minutes
20 hours to learn something new
20 days to make something a habit
20 weeks to ensure you are a success in your 2020 GCSE Exams
Dear Parent/Carer,
I hope this letter finds you all well and rested after our holiday time. I wanted to take this opportunity to write to you as your son/daughter embarks on the final months of Year 11. I have met with the whole of Year 11 this week to ensure they are all clear about how we will move into the busy exam preparation period.
To further support your son/daughter in the lead up to their exams, I am really excited to launch, for every subject, our ’20 Week Revision Plans’. This week marks week 1 and each plan guides pupils through both what should be revised and how it can be learnt to ensure that students are exam ready. These plans are available below.
These plans aim to support your child’s capacity for independent study and, by the end of January, each student should be aiming for 4 hours a week study using these plans.
We will be in regular contact over the next few months so that you are very clear about the next stages of support. However, I have been asked about ‘study leave’. Our Year 11 pupils will each be given a personalised study programme leading into their exams, this will not include ‘study leave’.
This is a very busy, and at times, stressful year, and our aim is to work with you each step of the way. Therefore please do not hesitate to contact us.
Yours sincerely
Jo McKeown
