CHS Chess v Bishop Luffa

Chess fixture 19th May 2023 V Bishop Luffa

This week saw our biggest fixture against possibly our biggest rivals.

Bishop Luffa had declared all out war and were not just bringing the usual 6 man team but their entire club. For an epic all out fight so all members of the chess club new and old alike had to be brought back into the fold.

The library was set up with 12 boards and battle began. There were some very quick casualties with both Charlie and Andrei taking first blows. But some games incredibly took over an hour to play and had to be decided on points.

Tom C and Reaemiel R where our chess wizards and gained two wins.

After the dust settled and chess boards righted, the points reflected a slight marginal win to Bishop Luffa.

Okay.... 11 ½ points to our 6 1/2 , is a outright victory to Bishop Luffa.

We look forward to returning the match and visiting Bishop Luffa next half term.
