#HelloYellow

Dear Parent / Carer,

On Monday 10th October it's #HelloYellow day and in recognition of this and to promote the importance of young people’s mental health, we will be supporting the charity, Young Minds, and their ‘Wear Yellow’ day. This day runs in accordance with World Mental Health Day which is also on 10th October.

We are asking that all students wear something yellow on this day (combined with their uniform) and bring in a £2 donation that we will then send to the charity. As mentioned, full uniform is still to be worn, but it can be accessorised in support of Young Minds. As such, students might like to wear a yellow hairband, a yellow tie, a yellow pair of earrings, a yellow pair of socks, yellow nail varnish, or other yellow items/accessories in support of this day.

Young Minds are an excellent charity who provide online and practical support for children, adolescents, and their parents (and school staff) with a range of mental health needs… From self-esteem and body image to exam stress and sleep problems, the website covers a range of issues, please follow this link: https://www.youngminds.org.uk/ to find out more.

We hope that your son/daughter will join us in wearing something yellow in support of Young Minds on Monday 10th October.
