The removal of COVID restrictions also means the ability for pupils (and staff!) to enjoy Duke of Edinburgh expeditions again. This one again highlighted the excellence in Year 10. Mr Tidy has written:

‘The pupils were outstanding and a credit to the school, walking at a good pace, working as a team to create the
evening meal and setting up and taking down the tents etc. with the staff all commenting on how well they progressed.

The weather for the weekend was warm, with lots of sun, and the students were extremely lucky with rain falling on either side of the weekend.

The pupils will be completing the final qualifying expedition in June and hopefully going on to the Silver award later in the year.

Many thanks to the staff and volunteers for supporting the students over the weekend.’
