PushTalks

We welcomed Moj Taylor and Guy Reynolds from PushTalks to Chichester High School today to talk to our Year 11 students about Study Skills.

Each of the sessions features a unique combination of comedy, storytelling, games, discussion, and video - all grounded in the latest research into:

- Next Steps & Careers
- Employability
- Study Skills
- Wellbeing, Confidence & Resilience 

In the sessions, they gave students the tools they need to study and revise effectively at home.  They gave ‘top tips’ on using research-led revision techniques. 

They discussed how best to design mind maps and how to apply them to your subjects, how to design revision cards effectively, and different study techniques that incorporate revision cards and post-it notes to improve revision and memory retention.

They helped students to understand that learning is not a ‘one size fits all' approach and what they can do to make revision and exam performance tailored to suit themselves.

Moj and Guy covered ways in which students can manage nerves and looked into the different techniques for improving memory.
