Students will complete these tests in two groups as detailed below. Seating plans will be made available to Form Tutors, who will support your child through this assessment process.
Please ensure your son/daughter has the right equipment for these tests. For the English assessment, they will need their usual writing implements, ideally a black ballpoint pen (and a spare). For the Maths and Science assessments they will also need a pencil, ruler, and eraser; the use of a calculator is not permitted in either of these assessments.
We appreciate that your son/daughter may feel slightly anxious about sitting these tests and assessments. However, please be assured that every effort will be made to allay any fears and make the experience as comfortable as possible. Your encouragement and support during the test period will be much appreciated as well. It is vital that your son/daughter attends school during this period as the results provide the school with essential information that will help us afford the best support and guidance.
If you have any concerns please contact Mrs Holland (Exams Officer) or myself at the school.
