Early Help Summer Offer

The summer holidays are approaching and for many of our children and families this year remains very different from past summers, with families still experiencing much uncertainty.  Many children may have had to isolate and been in and out of education settings, potentially making returning and transitions to new schools extremely challenging for them and their parents. With that in mind we are providing an enhanced offer for the 6 weeks of the summer holidays. Below outlines our core offer and the additional support on offer.

The Early Help Core offer will continue over the summer; in addition to this Early Help are offering a number of face-to-face appointments for Young People and families, who feel they would benefit from this.

Enhanced Summer Offer

Description

Remarks

Early Help Summer Offer, for all children, young people and families: Building on our core offer, we are proposing to offer up to 4 weekly appointments in each district area.

This offer would aim to provide a quick and reactive response for advice and support for young people and families in crisis who are assessed as requiring face to face support.

These appointments can be accessed via the Integrated Front Door (IFD) and an email will be sent to each hub’s duty email inbox. The hub will make contact with the family and book the appointments directly, at a time that is suitable.

Face to face in centres or community – 24 weekly appointments countywide

How to Access

This enhanced offer has been promoted via facebook, on WSCC website and we would like schools to promote to all pupils or families, particularly any who may benefit from accessing this support during the 6 week break.
