AIR SQUADRON TROPHY COMPETITION

SOUTH WEST REGIONAL HEAT OF THE
AIR SQUADRON TROPHY COMPETITION

FIRST PLACE
CHICHESTER HIGH SCHOOL COMBINED CADET FORCE, RAF SECTION

Congratulations go to the members of the RAF Section who participated in the above competition held at Blandford Camp, Dorset, on Sunday 22^nd January 2017.

They competed against 8 other schools from the Region and achieved first place in the Drill and First Aid Sections of the event along with a second place in the Aircraft Recognition, RAF Knowledge, Leadership and Fitness Sections.

Although they were unplaced in the Shooting Section, their tremendous results gave them first place overall, the first time the Contingent has won this competition.

The motivation, enthusiasm, determination and drive came from the cadets themselves, with the NCO’s leading by example as they taught and encouraged the younger cadets, perfectly demonstrating the ethos and aim of the Contingent.

On Friday 27^th January, the Contingent paraded at 1520hrs. This allowed for the Air Squadron Trophy Competition winners to be congratulated and for a visit and short presentation to be given by former cadet 2Lt L Kemp, 5 Rifles.
