Termrider

Students travelling from Selsey, Sidlesham and Hunston to CHS

We will continue to operate a 651 to the school which will only be open for school and college students to travel on. Returning at the end of the day we will operate the normal afternoon journey from the school grounds back to Hunston, Sidlesham and Selsey which will also only be open for school and college students to travel on.

Students travelling from The Witterings and Birdham to CHS

We will continue to operate a 653 to the school which will only be open for school and college students to travel on throughout (we will have two double decker buses in the morning which we recommend that students use as there will only be limited space on the normal 52s & 53s in the morning). Returning in the afternoon we will be operating the two 652, both double decker buses from the school at 15:30 and 15:45 back to Birdham and The Witterings which will only be open for school and college students to travel on. Once again services operating from the bus station will have a limited capacity and we recommend catching the dedicated school buses to avoid long delays at the bus station.

Students travelling from Bognor Regis, Aldwick, Rose Green, Pagham & North Mundham to CHS

We will continue to operate the same journey departing Bognor Regis High Street at 07:40 (please note that this journey has been renumbered to 660). This service will only be open for school and college students to travel on. Returning in the afternoon a new 660 journey will depart at 15:40 from the school back to North Mundham, Pagham, Rose Green, Aldwick and Bognor Regis which will once again only be open for school and college students to travel on. Please note that all normal 600 service will have a limited capacity and we recommend catching the dedicated school buses to avoid long delays at the bus station.

Students travelling from Oving and Tangmere to CHS

We will continue to operate a 655 to the school which will only be open for school and college students to travel on. Returning in the afternoon a new 655 journey will depart at 15:40 from the school back to Tangmere & Oving via the A27. Once again services operating from the bus station will have a limited capacity and we recommend catching the dedicated school buses to avoid long delays at the bus station.

We have also made some changes to our 60 service which operates between Midhurst and Chichester. The service will no longer serve the bus station, so any students using this service will need to board and alight in South Street. Please also note that all services across the network are operating revised timetables with reduced capacity for social distancing except on school bus where we will have other conditions in place.

Just to reassure you, we will have spare vehicles that we send to duplicate buses out to cover busy journeys throughout the day. At the beginning it will be hard to predict which journeys will be busy, but we will do everything we can to keep people moving within the area.

All normal tickets will be accepted and sold on all school/college buses as normal. So you are still able to buy singles, returns, day tickets and weeklies tickets from the bus driver on the day.

Please can we advise students that we will still won't be giving change and ask them to have exact fares or use contactless payment. Also, all our dayriders and weeklies ticket are available slightly cheaper on the Stagecoach App.

We also have a Termrider tickets for under 16s which you can find more details in the pdf attached.
