CHS BIG BEN Challenge
The Chichester High School - Big Ben Challenge!
The CHS PE Department are launching a new initiative to encourage everyone to stay active and raise money for our NHS at this difficult time.
It is called the Big Ben Challenge!!
The PE department have set the CHS Community a challenge.
How many kilometres can we cover by running, walking, cycling or even swimming over the next six weeks? Can you get sponsored to do this?
CHS has decided to fundraise for NHS Charities Together, and we would really appreciate your support.
You can donate to my JustGiving page by clicking here
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to NHS Charities Together, so it's the most efficient way to give - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Chichester is our starting point.
We would love to see where in the world we all end up.
Chichester to Big Ben in London is 109 km. Chichester to Paris is 536 km. The idea is that each individual or family, can set their own target or challenge themselves in their own way. Can you get to Big Ben is six weeks?
We have designed a link below. When you click on the link and it will allow each member of the CHS community to record the following:
- Name (First initial and surname only)
- Form Group
- Date of activity period
- The type of activity completed i.e. run, walk, swim, pogo!
- How far you travelled in Kilometres
- Fastest 1km run time and fastest 5 km time no cheating!
You can take part on many different levels. This can include as a family, as an individual, as a house or tutor group. There will be a weekly progress report on a Friday so that we can see how everyone is progressing.
We can even keep a total of how many Kilometres we complete as a school and also how much money we raise. There may even be some prizes for the best in each category and inter houses etc.
We would love you to send us pictures or just stats via Edmodo to let us know what you are up to on your exercise sessions.
