REMINDER - START OF TERM LETTER

Dear Parents/Carers

I hope this email finds you well and you are enjoying the summer.

With a few days remaining of the holidays and thoughts turning to preparation for the new academic year, I wanted to help get you and your children ready for what I know will be a fantastic year ahead.

Below are reminders of return dates for the Autumn term:

INSET and New Year 7 COVID testing: Thursday 2 September

Year 7 Transition Day: Friday 3 September

Start of term for Years 7/11/12/13 and Covid testing for Year: Monday 6 September

All other Year Groups:

If you cannot attend at the time indicated above, please come in at some point during the testing day. Last admission is 14.45.

Timings for testing were sent home and can be found on our website.

COVID Lateral Flow Testing: All pupils will be tested twice in the first two weeks in school and on an ongoing basis at home.

As in March, students would come into school in full uniform, take a test and then return home.

It is your decision whether your child has a lateral flow test. If you fill out the survey, we will take that as consent for your child to be given two lateral flow tests in school at the beginning of September.

Please could you do this by 3rd September so we can update our records.

All pupils should enter via their Year group gate each morning where they will be met by their Head of Year and senior staff. Our gates open at 8.30am each day and pupils should arrive before 8.55am. Pupils coming to school by public transport are still strongly advised to wear a face mask. All pupils will sanitise their hands on entry to our site and be reminded about hygienic throughout the day.
