Despite the restrictions of lockdown, we will still be celebrating World Book Day with our CHS pupils with online author presentations.

Pupils in Years 7 will have presentation from local adventure author, Ali Sparkes, whilst Year 8 will hear from screen, graphic novel and fiction writer Andy Briggs.
Kathryn Evans, author of More of Me and Beauty Sleep, will be providing a creative writing lesson for Years 9 and 10.

The World Book Day team will be providing their annual £1 book tokens for our pupils online and in school.  The tokens allow pupils to ‘buy’ the special World Book Day titles created this year by popular authors such as Holly Bourne and Derek Landy.  Look out announcements on Classcharts and Google Classrooms for more great World Book Day news and competitions.

Mrs Mulkern welcomes you to our new look library catalogue.
We hope you will find the AccessIt Web App useful.

This is a great resource for looking at your own library account to see what you have on loan, make reservations, extend borrowing time or review books.  We hope you will use the site to help you find what book you want to read next, what is new in the library and register the type of books you like, so we can let you know when new stock comes in!

We look forward to reading your book reviews so you can recommend great fiction to other students.

AccessIt offers a fantastic search engine that not only allows you to find what books we have available in the library to help you with your homework, revision and research, but also to access trusted sites throughout the internet on your chosen topic using the One Search system.
