CHS welcome four Korean teachers

Chichester High School welcomed four Korean teachers as part of a course which aims to give foreign teachers an insight into the British education system.

The latest visit continues the school’s support of the programme run in recent years. The teachers from South Korea spent several days at the school as part of their course, run by Chichester University, experiencing different aspects of life within an English secondary school.

They were able to observe a number of lessons across a variety of subjects and were impressed by the range of activities and curriculum options available at the School.

They took time to educate students about life in Korea. They were also able to teach year seven students the basics of the Korean language and introduce them to the world of K-pop, a huge part of Korean culture.

Head of 6th Form, Vickie Smith said: ‘This is such a fantastic opportunity for us and the Korean teachers. Programmes such as this enhance the life of our communities, both here and in Korea, developing cultural knowledge and raising global awareness for students and staff in all participating schools.’
