ROCKET CAR DAY!
ROCKET CAR DAY!
On the 14 March 2018, the whole of Year 7 are going to be firing foam rocket cars down a line with support from the Army.
It is part of a sponsorship drive by Bloodhound, which holds the land speed record.
Four hundred schools throughout the country are building and firing rockets and the best from each school goes to the region final (against approx. 15 local schools) and then onto the National final for the best school in the region.
As part of the project, pupils are working in teams to design and construct a rocket car, ready to be fired as part of the challenge.
Three groups of Year 7 students have started the journey.
