Our Year 8 football team kicked off 2018 in style with a comfortable 4 – 1 win against St Philip Howard.

We headed off with a minibus full of excited year 8’s. It was their first game of the New Year and they were wearing their new kit, kindly sponsored by Baqus Group Ltd so spirits were high. 

We started fast and played some great football, launching wave after wave of attack on the St Philip Howard (SPH) goal.

CHS were rewarded for their good play with two early goals from Kieran Jones and Ollie Barry.
Credit to SPH, they fought hard and managed to get to half time without any further damage.

The second half began in a similar way to the first and CHS scored a further two goals courtesy of Joe Masters and Terriq Osman.

CHS continued to play well and every member of the squad played their part. SPH never gave up and scored a well-deserved goal in the last minute. Well done to both teams.

As ever, our students represented their school perfectly on and off the pitch.
