CCF Biennial Inspection

Chichester High School and its Combined Cadet Force (CCF) were honoured to welcome Group Captain Al Lewis RAFR, ATC Regional Commandant for London and the SE as Inspecting Officer to CHS on Friday 14th October to conduct the Biennial Inspection of our Cadet Force.

The Inspecting Officer and guests were welcomed by the Contingent Commander, Captain Paul Gaffney and met staff and cadets in a formal parade and inspection.

The Group Captain was invited to present the Contingent's new Chichester High School Banner which recognised the Schools' reorganisation which had taken place in September.

The Chairman of Rotary Club of Chichester Priory, Bob Syme was thanked for the club's generous donation towards the cost of this new Banner. The old Banner and new Banner were marched past the inspecting Officer and guests at the culmination of the parade.

During the afternoon the cadets excelled themselves in a range of activities, including archery, team and leadership tasks as well as a confidence course.

In his closing remarks the Inspecting Officer thanked the Contingent Staff and Cadets for an outstanding Inspection and went on to say how he was impressed by the confident and enthusiastic manner in which the day had been managed by the Cadet NCO's.
