CHS Remembrance Service

101116 chs remembrance service 39Chichester High School held its annual Remembrance Service on Friday 10th November 2017.

Students in Year 7 and student members of the School’s Combined Cadet Force joined in silence to remember our fallen heroes.  Mr Roman led the service with a poignant speech about the importance of Remembrance.

This was followed by CHS students reading ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John McCrae and  ‘The Soldier’ by Rupert Brook.

As we observed the two-minute silence, the names of our fallen Chichester High School  students, featured on our school memorial plaque, were read out,
highlighting those former students who had made the ultimate sacrifice for us all.

The School Combined Cadet Force banner party led the way as CCF cadets, laid two wreaths, on behalf of the School and Old Boys, in the school hall.

Praise must also be given to the band that played extremely well, with our superb bugler, Jasper McGarry rising to the challenge.
