Chichester High School had a fabulous time at the E.Y.E or ‘Eco, Young and Engaged’ event held at The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum on Monday 26th September.

The E.Y.E project is a sustainable learning project helping local schools and young people within them to make a positive difference to their environment.

Tim Loughton MP is the founder and Patron of the project and was delighted to be at the event, supporting the students whilst they attended different activities and projects throughout the day.

CHS was the only secondary school there along with six primary schools.  We are thrilled to be hosting the event next year.

Different companies were involved in the presentations and workshops which included:

  • Food Production – Field and Mill to the Plate.  Hosted by the Weald and Downland.
  • Chichester Harbour Habitat Challenge.  Hosted by the Chichester Harbour Conservancy.
  • The One Ocean Project.  Hosted by Steve Savage, Educational Educator
  • Energy Matters. Hosted by Your Energy Sussex and Sussex green Living.
  • Explore the Food on your Doorstep.  Hosted by Southern Co-operative.
  • A Day in the life of…  Hosted by The Body Shop.
  • Grow Your Own.  Hosted by Transition Chichester.
  • Water if Life.  Hosted by Staunton Country Park and Portsmouth Water.

Our students enjoyed the presentations and workshops.  They were thoroughly engaged with the event and presented to the other students at the end of the event.
